Ocean transportation of goods is available through two mid-continental ports.
- The Port of Catoosa near Tulsa, Oklahoma, with access to the Gulf of Mexico via the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System and the Mississippi River. Distance from Ardmore via highway is 215 miles.
- The Port of Houston, 350 miles to the south of Ardmore near the Gulf Coast. The Port of Houston is first in the United States in foreign waterborn commerce.
