In 2008, Phase 1 of the
Hickory Ridge Addition was completed.
This phase provided 31 homes in the 1200 to 1600 square feet range that
were a minimum of 3 bedrooms, 1 ¾ bathrooms, 75% brick with a two car attached
garage. According to Brien Thorstenberg,
ADA Vice President, "the demand was overwhelming. All of the homes sold within two weeks of
groundbreaking and there is now a waiting list of over 40 homes in Phase
2. In Phase 1, the ADA put in the
infrastructure at our expense and sold the lots to three area builders at a
price below market value with a stipulation that they would have to sell the
home at a sales price of $75 per sq. ft."
There will be a total of 175 homes in the Hickory Ridge Addition.
Phase II construction to began in the fall of 2008.
