Celebrating One Year of Ardmore’s Economic Vision Plan: We’re Just Getting Started!

One year ago, the Ardmore Development Authority adopted its Economic Vision Plan; a thoughtfully designed roadmap highlighting the intersection of people, place and possibility. The kind of plan that puts action at the forefront, designed to strengthen our economy, attract new investments, and create more community opportunities to the benefit of all.

Fast forward to today, and we’ve seen that plan launch forward, thanks to a series of innovative collaborations with our partners and stakeholders.

Together, we’re putting a spotlight on all the reasons why Ardmore is an ideal place to call home.

Even better? We’re just getting started! 

Behind every initiative we’ve launched over the past year is one goal: position Ardmore as a community that offers a competitive advantage for both workforce attraction, quality of life, and endless opportunities.

In collaboration with an amazingly diverse team of state and local partners, we saw this come to life through:

• Marketing and Outreach: Launched the "Ardmore Means More" campaign, which has reached over 1.4 million organic video views and introduced Ardmore to audiences far beyond southern Oklahoma.
• Relationship Building: Continued building relationships with industry leaders, utilizing long-standing events like the Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor's Invitational Turkey Hunt to bring national site selectors, consultants, and business decision-makers to the area.
• Infrastructure and Development Tools: Advanced Ardmore Industrial Airpark infrastructure improvements through the Oklahoma PREP Fund. Additionally, new interactive mapping tools and marketing materials were developed to showcase competitive advantages.
• Downtown Entrepreneurship: Awarded funding to the first two businesses through the new Downtown Loan-to-Grant program established in partnership with the City of Ardmore and Ardmore Main Street Authority.
• Tourism Expansion: Expanded tourism initiatives, including investments by the City of Ardmore in new Regional Park turf fields that are already driving increased visitation and attracting new tournaments.
