Lt. Governor’s Turkey Hunt deemed a success: Volunteers lauded for efforts in event

It has been a busy several weeks for the Ardmore Development Authority.
Events such as the Lieutenant Governor’s Turkey Hunt have been successful as the authority works with officials to promote the city. ADA President & CEO Bill Murphy said the hunt went well with five hunters hosted, describing it as a mix of developers with an engineer and site consultant. Both Murphy and Sr. Vice President of Economic Development Andrea Anderson were presented with plaques for their efforts by Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell.
“Obviously, we are looking on how we can continue to make this a great opportunity to bring people to our community and expose them to what makes Ardmore special,” Murphy said. “I think that is what is really beneficial about the turkey hunt. It exposes them to aspects of the community that they would not otherwise have if they were here just looking at a piece of property and building and trying to get a prospect to make a decision on whether or not to invest in our community.”
