Ardmore Municipal Airport, located at the Ardmore Industrial Airpark, supports $111.1 million in total annual economic impact, according to information compiled by the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics as part of a State of Oklahoma report examining the impacts of the aerospace and defense industry statewide.

The Ardmore Development Authority highlighted the findings as evidence of the airport’s significant contribution to the local economy. Its annual economic impact includes:

  •  $75.8 million in annual spending
  •  $35.3 million in annual payroll
  •  503 jobs supported

These figures demonstrate the airport’s contribution to business activity, employment and household income, with benefits extending beyond the airfield into the broader economy.

“Ardmore Municipal Airport, and the Airpark as a whole, is an important economic asset for our community,” said Bill Murphy, President & CEO of the Ardmore Development Authority. “These numbers illustrate how aviation infrastructure supports jobs, generates business activity and strengthens Ardmore’s position for future investment.”

The airport and surrounding Ardmore Industrial Airpark are central to the ADA’s efforts to support aviation and aerospace businesses, strengthen industrial infrastructure and create opportunities for economic growth.

“Continued investment in the airport is an investment in Ardmore’s future,” Murphy added. “Our focus is on maintaining a competitive location where existing businesses can grow and new employers can see a path to success.”
